Vivo IPL 2019’s 33rd match was played between table topper Chennai SuperKings and Hyderabad. The low scoring match made Hyderabad very easy by 6 wickets. This is the second defeat of the season for Chennai Super Kings before Mumbai Indians defeated Chennai by 37 runs.

CSK’s most in-form batsman and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has missed the match due to his injury. For the first time since 2010, a player has been given the opportunity to captain Chennai SuperKings in place of Dhoni.

In Dhoni’s absence, Suresh Raina took charge of the team, Raina won the toss and decided to bat and scored 135 runs in 20 overs losing5 wickets. The Hyderabad team completed this small target easily, and with 19 balls remaining, the match was named after itself.

Player’s Voice

Suresh Raina (CSK Skipper): “I think it is a very good wake up call. I think we didn’t put a decent score on the board and kept losing wickets. Faf and Watson gave us a good start but we could not capitalize. We lost too many wickets in between and that’s why it cost us the game.

We should have looked for partnerships and should have rotated our strike better. Hence, we were 30 runs short. He (MS Dhoni) is feeling better. His back was stiff. Probably he will play in the next game against RCB.

He (Imran Tahir) has been giving us breakthroughs. You just throw the ball to him and he delivers. He has been bowling really well. As long as senior players are there, you just need to do well as a unit.”
